Mama Ceseña's Tortillas are hand made with care from Mom Ceseña's family recipe, using only the best and freshest ingredients: "Years ago, my mother-in-law, "Mama Ceseña" taught me to make her special kind of home-made torillas on a boat on Mission Bay in San Diego, California." When Nancy and her husband Manny began making the tortillas for their friends, they vowed to buy them. The couple took them up on their promise in 1992 and began producing the tortillas, most recently at their factory on Mercury and Engineer Streets in Clairmont Mesa. The tortilla are hand-pressed and delicately flavored with fresh green onion or jalapeño pepers. They last three weeks in the fridge or seven months in the freezer and make a killer quesadilla! Samples are available. "Our flour tortillas are made of premium chemical free white flour and our whole wheat tortilla flour is a chemical free golden wheat that is freshly stone ground for us per order. We use fresh vegetables for the Green Onion and Jalapeño Tortillas, fresh, freeze-dried spinach for the Spinach Tortillas, and fresh freeze-dried tomatoes for the Tomato Tortillas. The canola oil we use has no preservatives." Quality comes first... Each package of tortillas are hand packed to ensure the best quality and uniformity.
